In order to fulfill Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of 100% Neem coating of Urea, Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals Limited (GNFC) undertook an innovative multidimensional socio economic Neem Project in 2015. GNFC Neem Project by collecting over 45,000 MT of Neem seeds has generated over INR 45 crore income for 4.5 lakh women. In the last three years, it has expanded to other states namely Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, etc. Recently, on 8th October 2017, Hon’ble Prime Minister inaugurated GNFC’s Neem complex consisting of various Neem product plants. Hon’ble Prime Minister, in his address on this occasion in Bharuch has extensively praised the Neem products of GNFC.
This year, GNFC has partnered with IFFCO to mobilise women for Neem seed collection in Uttar Pradesh.
